A full set of resources needed to teach the whole skill acquisition component of the OCR A-Level PE course.
This bundle includes all the power points, handouts and assignments which I needed to gain ‘Outstanding Data’ recently at an OFDTED outstanding college. Having taught Level 2 BTEC Extended Diploma for three years I made mistakes like any. By the third year I feel I had my programme near perfect and this was reflected in my data.
As an alternative to BTEC I decided that for the lesser able learner or those who progressed from Level 1 Sport the previous year would have the option of completing NCFE Level 2 – it worked brilliantly.

Screening Process - We put all the students who chose PE as a qualification on a screening process over the duration of 1 term. Teaching them a combination of the GCSE PE Specification (PowerPoint 1 above), Cambridge National Sports Studies and practical lessons based on one sport. At the end of the term, all of the students will sit an exam. From this and the evidence of their performance in all of the other lessons, we then advise which qualification is best suited to them; Cambridge National Sports Studies of AQA GCSE PE.
This is perfect if you have just started teaching GCSE PE or if you want a completely fresh set of resources. Additionally, this will save you time making them all from the beginning.
All of the PowerPoints are consistent with one another, as well as fresh and clean cut. The way I build my PowerPoints is to ensure the individual topics are simple for students to understand, but also include a more rounded curriculum. All PowerPoints include some kind of questioning/ feedback, mostly examination style questioning.
I have also included GIF’s and videos within my PowerPoints to give the learning experience a more enjoyable edge. I like to use interleving starters to test the students prior knowledge and understanding.
