This is lesson 9 of the memory topic, the lesson focuses on issues and debates. For this topic, the focus is on Holism and Reductionism. This powerpoint consists of 16 slides and is designed to fill an 100 minute lesson. This lesson can be used alongside the memory booklet available in my shop. The starter of this lesson is based on the social influence topic, it acts as a retrieval practice task. Mental processes, including inferences and schema’s. This is packed with fun activities for students to try out to show them their mental processing (including loads of videos). 2. Designed to recap the whole psychopathology topic for new spec AQA Psychology. Includes shortened notes for definitions of abnormality, OCD, Depression and Phobias I give the students a copy of the student version (usually 2 slides to page) to complete and annotate while I go through the teacher version as a class. Or I get them to complete bits before we go through it. Another idea - You could delete more text off the student version and they could complete it all themselves for homework before you go through it. I have also included a set of exam questions on psychopathology and some blank boxed for short plans for essays on the topics for second years. I have also uploaded an attachment, Memory and some A2 topics (like Sz and Forensic).

This worksheet is based on identifying the benefits of exercise. Learners need to pick a benefit from the list provided and place it into the correct category. There are 3 categories to choose from; physcial, social and psychological. As an extension task, learners could think of their own benefits.

Planning sheet for writing 16 markers in A Level Psychology

I am curating this collection for students to use in projects and presentations about forensics, police, crimes, and for creative projects about detectives and who dunnits.

My students love these! Printed onto A3 double sided, summary tables allow students to create their own summary of each topic in a format that makes sense to them. Rather than using someone else’s summary or a revision guide, it means that they have to think deeply about the material in order to condense it for revision. They are given a column for AO1 and AO3 for each specification point to make sure that they are completely covering all they need to know. I am offering Memory for FREE, but other Paper 1, 2 and a couple of Paper 3 topics are available to purchase as a set.

I created this resource to introduce Human Behaviours, how we learn and more importantly how we can utilise this in school. I plan to use this as a training resource for my behaviour team at school and to challenge their beliefs on behaviours. The resource goes into the psychology of behaviour and the learning processes involved. The resource touches on the Behaviourist Perspective, Classical Conditioning and Operant Conditioning. The outcome is for the users to 'understand key motivators to behaviour', 'develop a toolkit to use within schools' and 'gain knowledge in the ways we can influence others to behave the way we want.' I hope you find this resource useful.
