The levels used in the test are in line with the new DfE codes to assess EAL learners. The test allows to assess students who have just started education in the British system and have little knowledge of English (New to English, Code A), students who communicate in English mainly for social purposes (Early acquisition, Code B), and those who have started developing competence in English at the academic level (Developing competence, Code C). This is a full assessment pack to prepare for ABI Paper 2 - Reading comprehension in French. This booklet contains 320 exams questions, divided into 20 separate assessments, covering all IB themes. It covers every** IB types of exam questions** for the latest IB Specification (multiple choice, gap fill, answering questions, finding synonymes, true / false / justify etc…). The first 8 reading exam practices are to be used at the start of the Ab Initio course with shorter texts (10 mark exam papers). The other 12 exams use much longer texts (to match the IB exam) and are 20 marks papers. Mark schemes included of course. PS: if you have already purchased any of my Theme based booklets covering the 4 skills, none of the reading exercises in this booklet are the same or using IB papers. This can be used in addition to past papers for exam practice or assessment purposes, without the risk of students having access to the markschemes.
