This A3 Worksheet is a great resource when you need to set cover for a music lesson but don’t have a non specialist to teach it. For this task students must create the branding for a new band called ‘Hazard’. This involves designing a logo for the band, an album cover, a picture vinyl and even a tour van! This could also be used as a great KS3 Graphics cover lesson. Print in A3

I found that the workbooks provided by the exam board are overwelming for the students as they contain so many pages, therefore, I have created 4 workbooks that cover the contents for the new specification, these include scaffolding which works well for 9 mark questions. I have also uploaded the teacher copies with answers so that students can self mark if required.

These Food, Preparation and Nutrition Cover Worksheets are suited for key stage 3 students studying food. They have been tried and tested with year 7, year 8 and year 9 classes. The x4 worksheets focus on Analysing a Daily Food Diary against the Eatwell Guide. Students are firstly introduced to the Eatwell Guide and asked to catagorise a list of foods into the right food groups. Students will learn the nutritional benefits of the food groups and analyse a sample daily food plan. From this, they will create their own food plan and analyse it against the Eatwell Guide; making healthier food choice suggestions. As an extension, a worksheet has been provided tasking students to create a healthy daily food plan from the influence of a receipt. The receipt provides a list of foods for the students to creatively create their meals and snacks. Design Brief & Specification booklet for GCSE NEA

Three sheets to assist students in compiling information to then produce the Design Brief & Specification sheet for their GCSE NEA. I use these over a couple of lessons to allow students to gather the information to produce a high quality Specification and Design Brief nea sheet. The various exam boards do not allow providing frameworks for writing, however, I personally feel that if these are not given to students electronically but write on these sheets as they research in each area then use the booklet to compile the NEA sheets in their own style.

I use this for pupils who are in inclusion or who have not got ingredients for the practical session. It means I can get on with practical work rather than finding something for the pupils to do. It also helps improve knowledge of the subject and covers in more depth some of the work it is not possible for me to cover in a 10 week rotation.
