This resource is created from the new Edexcel 5 year SoW and covers the entire topic of year 7 physics. The idea behind this resource is that it can be printed and laminated and pupils can use it as a place mat. The literacy mat covers the topics of: - Energy Stores - Energy Transfers -Fuels - Renewable & non-renewable resources - Series & Parallel Circuits - Circuit Symbols - Using Electricity - Forces - Springs - Pressure - Moving Sounds - Detecting Sounds - Comparing Waves By covering the entire units key concepts this should increase the proportion of independent study whist reducing the repetition of similar questions. Despite being based on the Edexcel SoW, this resource is usable and transferable across all exam boards.

This is a must have resource for any teacher. The idea of a 'mat' is UK idea where you stick or place a resource like this one on the desks of your students to help them structure their work and avoid common mistakes. Please note, it might be an idea to run this resource through your own US spell checker to avoid any common errors. E.g. we spell words like colour and neighbours slightly differently to you guys across the pond. This is a combination of some of my favourite ideas from different places made into a double sided mat for my literacy toolkits.
