www.biologywitholivia.co.uk How to get an A/A* in A Level Biology | Revising effectively, using mark schemes & exam technique https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kYCDdxGws4 I’ve condensed the whole A Level Biology AQA course into a series of topic by topic guides. I used these notes alongside practice exam questions and managed to achieve an A* in A Level Biology in 2017. Doing well in biology isn’t all about being ‘clever’, it’s about being strategic and working smart (as well as hard work, of course). I truly believe anyone can do well. I hope that these notes will not just help students understand biology, but also understand exactly what the examiners are looking for. Easy to learn, concise, bullet point revision notes Covers every point on the AQA specification - no more, no less Based on the analysis of 10+ years of past papers and mark schemes (we all know how specific biology mark schemes are) Some example exam data/application questions and model answers to make sure students are fully equipped for the exam Note - I am in the process of changing the format of the topics 2-4 and 6-8 to be the same as topic 1. I’ll be uploading them here as I do so you’ll have access to them in this bundle.

7 Resources
Full scheme of work covering all aspects of creative writing. Ideal in preparing students for GCSE English Language Paper 1, Section B. Designed with the very latest developments in the 9-1 specification in mind, this is best suited to the AQA syllabus but would be equally useful for both KS3 prep and other exam boards. Please see individual resources for more details. The lessons all work well as stand-alone, but if being used in sequence, the scheme runs as follows: Lesson 1 - Vocabulary Lesson 2 - Sensory Description Lesson 3 - Devices and Techniques Lesson 4 - Narrative and Descriptive Openings Lesson 5 - Sentence Variation Lesson 6 - Characterisation Lesson 7 - Narrative Structure Each lesson takes the form of a ‘masterclass’; each masterclass is packed with a range of activities that will enable your students to truly embed and master each aspect of creative writing. Each ‘lesson’ is probably going to take in excess of 2 hours to get through - you may wish to ‘pick and choose’ activities, or take your time with each skill area and cover them in depth. Fun weekly news quiz - updated every school week

(387)
Topical news quiz with some fun pictorial puns to give clues. Please note the lady in the picture is my wife, I'm the hairy one! :-) It is designed for registration and I produce it every Thursday for afternoon registration on a Friday. Most of my old school colleagues used it and I was sending it to about 18 other schools when it was suggested I share it on TES. since I started on TES almost 7 years ago it has grown and now goes direct to 3700+ schools and is downloaded roughly 2000 times a week from TES. If you want me to be sent the quiz direct please email at simonsquizofthenews@gmail.com. Please do not ask via the reviews as it is a pain to deal with that way! It has 10 questions and takes about 10 minutes to do. And i'm still doing it 3 years after retirement!
