Y7 PSHE- HT1- Independence and Aspirations

Newly planned in 2025, taking into consideration the new RSHE framework for 2026 onwards. This unit uses the PSHE Association Competencies model.

Each lesson has a retrieval starter, followed by clear teacher speak, multiple activities, videos and mostly a 15-20 minutes practice task that allows for an opportunity to be creative, reflective or show deeper understanding.

Each unit has a baseline assessment, which is revisited at the end and is self-marking/reflective.

The lessons are completely editable. Everything for the unit is within the work booklet, meaning once they are printed, there is not need to print and circulate additional resources e.g. reading material is inside the booklet. Each booklet has a 39 week plan included, so you can see how other units are mapped out. Links are included at the bottom.
