A squash and a squeeze PowerPoint story by Julia Donaldson - great for mainstream and SEN. I am using this for a topic on homes and buildings for an SEN group. There may be additional symbol based resources to follow. I have also uploaded some vocab cards related to the story.
Suitable for end of Autumn Term in Reception. Whole class lesson could involve discussing all the new things we have learnt to do since Nursery. Teacher could model how to write ...' I am good at ....'
Independent activitiy: Children can write on their certificate to say what they are good at now or simply decorate the border of their certificate.
Could also be used for teachers to award children.
Flip- chart moves through stages of multiplication as repeated addition and then an array. Can be made more practical (fun) by having a collection of small pairs of socks and lots of real life examples of an array. Also children love the chocolate challenge!
A self-contained game to be played in pairs.
Use to revise reading coordinates on a grid. Best played once coordinates have already been introduced, as a consolidating activity.
Differentiated versions of the game within this pack, including use of the first quadrant only, as well as all four quadrants. You will also find instructions on how to play the game within your pack. Suitable for Years 4 and 5 (on one quadrant) and Year 6 and KS3 (on all four quadrants).
You will find a PDF version and editable Word version available for download; both are exactly the same, so download whichever is more convenient for you.
