Have you ever wanted to help a child write faster but are uncertain how? Do you struggle to read some of your students work?
Here you will find 10 worksheets. Every page provides an opportunity for a child to write 100 most used words in the English Language.
The way that I use these sheets is by asking the student to write two practice attempts of writing the word, next one attempt as neat as possible, one as fast as possible and followed by one attempt without looking at what they are writing. Lastly, they should then review their own work to identify their own areas for improvement. This sometimes reveals some interesting views about what they consider to be good work.
Writing fast is an important skill to be able to master. This skill is acquired both by looking and not looking. When a student doesn’t look at what they are writing they develop the muscle memory skills needed to write at speed.
If a student has difficulties with writing legibility or speed these worksheets will especially help them improve their handwriting.
