AQA 2015 - TV News - Running Orders
This lesson asks students to work in small groups and plan a running order for a news broadcast. They are given 10 headlines to chose from and throughout the lesson will be given a couple of 'breaking news' stories. Students should be able to identify what is most important to their target audience and consider how they will frame each story (making decision on graphics, VT, etc). The lesson used stories that had appeared in the press the first week of February, but could be easily adapted.
