This resource is a cultural presentation activity that is perfect for Spanish teachers teaching Level 1 or Level 2 Spanish. In Part A students will read about La Chocolatería San Gines, a cafe in Madrid, Spain. In Part B students (in groups) will prepare and present a dialogue where they discuss food they typically eat for breakfast and food they or their friends and family would eat if they were to order from San Gines’ menu. I have included common breakfast foods as well as food and drink items from San Gines’ menu to make the activity more culturally authentic. Teachers may add videos about the cafe to supplement this activity. Feel free to use your own rubric(s) to assess this culturally engaging activity!
