GCSE History Soviet Relations with Cuba and the Cuban Revolution, Superpower Relations Unit
GCSE History 2016, Superpower Relations and the Cold War, 1941-91. Lesson starts with a key dates quiz and more general quiz. Students then have to complete a short simulation as if they were Khrushchev. There is then an overview of relations between Cuba and the USSR. Students then complete an importance pyramid organising key events in the history of relations between Cuba and the USSR. There is also a practice consequence question and a model answer. The lesson ends with a quiz to test student knowledge and understanding. Useful for the GCSE History 2016 new unit: Superpower Relations and the Cold War, 1941-91.
