This resource has the following learning objective and task: Learning objective: To research and explain the importance of puja (worship) for Hindus.
Task: Your homework task is to find out how Hindus worship both publicly and privately. You must then create a poster which draws together your research. On your poster you must include explanations and descriptions of these key words: Puja, Mandir ,Shrine, Deity, Dharma, Mutri.
The first resource attached is a cloze activity which asks students to place missing words in the correct place to describe the importance of worship. The second resource has the answers on, or it could be used as an information worksheet to give to students.
One activity is matching pictures to simple descriptions of the objects. One is a simple cloze procedure with pictures - use the accompanying word mat to find the missing key words.
The other is just a simple naming worksheet, to be used in conjunction with the topic word mat.
