How to Write an Introductory Paragraph
As a teacher, I can't tell you how many times my students have had difficulties with starting and finishing their papers. I addressed this issue with my younger students with the following:

-How to Write an Awesome Topic Sentence!

-How to Write a Closing Sentence

Then, it was time to address this issue with my older writers. I've already taken care of the closing paragraph with the following:

-How to Write an Awesome Closing Paragraph

Now, it was time to finish the process and help my students with crafting the opening paragraph. This easy to use and affordable guide is sure to improve a student's ability to construct a simple and functional opening paragraph, complete with a thesis statement! Yes, the "dreaded" thesis statement is addressed in this guide, as well.

Overall, the guide promotes creating a sandwich of sorts (as shown in the guide), focusing on three elements:

a. topic sentence
b. 2 - 4 supporting sentences
c. thesis statement

Compress these together and you have an introductory paragraph!

So, give your aspiring writers a head start, by teaching them a simple and constructive way to create an introductory paragraph, proudly brought to you from Wake Up Sunshine.
