Teaching about Halloween? I think you will love this teaching resource. It highlights the key vocabulary children need to know about Halloween. If you print it out, it would make an excellent display.
You could look at it directly as a presentation and discuss the different items being shown in each of the photos.
You could print off and laminate the photos to make an interesting, eye-catching display about Halloween Vocabulary.
The students could also take the laminated photos and sort them into different types of Halloween objects. The students can then discuss what they think about each.
The photos could also be used as prompts for creative writing, factual writing or descriptive writing.
This resource will help children to retell the story of Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot. Children use the timeline as a prompt when orally recounting the story. They then use the differentiated writing frames and wordbank to write a recount.
Children will plan and write a newspaper report using the conventions of report writing. Includes a graphic organiser to plan the content of the report, a newspaper template and checklist, and a link to an online newspaper report that they can complete and print out. Allso included I a list of child-friendly links.
