Titration calculations are where OCR A students lose easy marks: a missing zero in a burette reading, forgetting to scale up, or rounding too early. This workbook breaks every titration question into 10 small skills and builds them one at a time.

Each skill has four parts:

Learn it: the rule, with the key words highlighted
See it: a fully worked example, shown as step cards and a road map
Check it: what OCR examiners say: common mistakes and examiner tips from OCR examiners’ reports, plus “What OCR adds”, the extra twists OCR puts on each skill
Try it: OCR-style questions with mark allocations that get harder, then a set of “OCR twist” exam-style questions

The exam section puts everything together in a 50-mark paper in OCR’s style, with multiple-choice and structured questions. Every question has a full answer and an OCR-style mark scheme, with ECF and “ALLOW / DO NOT ALLOW” guidance.

Ideal for Year 12 independent study, homework, revision, intervention or PAG 2 follow-up. Written for OCR A H432 (and H032): 2.1.3 Amount of substance, 2.1.4 Acids and PAG 2.

What’s inside (49 pages):

Doing the titration (PAG 2): apparatus, standard solution, method
Burette readings and titres
Concordant titres and the mean titre
Significant figures and rounding
Percentage uncertainty
Moles in a solution: n = c × V
The mole ratio
Scaling up from the portion titrated
The final step: concentration, Mr, x, % purity, mg
When it goes wrong: errors and their effect

Plus: skills tracker, 50-mark exam paper, answers and mark schemes.
