This is a game Memory/Concentration type game that is great for reinforcing the note names on the treble clef staff. They are also useful in terms of having productive sub plans and centers. Students must match the pitch's letter with it's position on the staff.
I usually give one set to a group of about 3 students. It's great for sub plans because you won't have to keep photocopying new worksheets, etc. I just keep a box of card games for my sub tub. It can be time consuming to cut out, so if you would like a hard copy mailed to you, just email me at SillyOMusic@gmail.com.
Alternative use for game: give each student a card and have them walk around the room to find their match.
The pitches contain all the notes on the lines and spaces, plus additional cards with:
G above the staff
D below the staff
F# on the line and space
Bb on the line
A blank card and staff for you to personalize
*Newly Added* Reference card for the players
*Print on card stock/laminate.
*Print at 75% if you would like a small group to play with all of the cards in order to save space.
*Printing the pitches on the back of bird covers:
1. Print pages 2-9. The birds should print out with their bottoms facing the right side of the paper.
2. Lay the printed sheets face-up on the paper tray with the bottoms of the birds facing right.
3. Print pages 10-17.
*Printers vary so you may need to play with the paper orientations, but
the layout of images are identical on every sheet.
*You could always print the whole file and glue or tape the backs on
before you laminate.
