Want to dance for Salvation?
Yardenit is located on the Jordan River, where the Jordan River flows out of the Galilee Sea. When you visit there, you can see Christian pilgrims wearing a white robe for their baptism as a source of salvation. At the entrance there is a beautiful ceramic wall with a portion from 'Mark' 1; 9-11 both in Hebrew and Greek. In the year 1942, an Israeli composer by the name: Emmanuel Amiran composed it and it became a very famous folklore dance, soon after. The dance is often called : Mayim Mayim (Water, Water)
