This experiment is conducted in two phases. The first phase determines whether plants need sunlight to live and grow. The second phase determines whether plants need water to live and grow. Both experiments are limited to one variable in each phase. Students will demonstrate their ability to formulate a hypothesis, help create a step by step procedure through teacher modeling, observe, record, and draw a conclusion. Finally, students will share their findings in both oral and written form, with supporting documentation from their observation log.
A very animated power point which shows children what plants need in order to grow. Lots of pictures and animation.\n\nHope it's helpful :)\n\nFor updates for my new resources, click on &'like on facebook at: www.facebook.com/TheStorySeed\nFor more free resources: www.TheStorySeed.com

The science objectives are listed by topic for Years 1 - 6, with space for an inventory of science resources.
Invaluable for auditing science in your school and identifying topics which require investment. Each Year group is on a different page(s) so you can audit science resources quick in your school, either by year group, science strand or topic.
The tool could also be used by class teachers to record where they have found and used resources, to help build up a whole school audit and inventory of good practice.
An invaluable auditing tool for science coordinators.
