What is Jehovah?
The pronunciation Jehovah was unknown until in 1381 . Most scholars believe that 'Jehovah' is a hybrid form derived by combining the Latin letters JHVH with the vowels of Adonai: אֲדֹנָי + the letters YHWH. The transliteration for Hebrew Yod can be with I as in the name Isaac or with J as in Jacob.
