With the new GCSE putting an emphasis on cultural understanding I have made two resources that have suitable tie-breaker questions or can be used as a way of allowing students to fairly decide who goes first. All questions have a numerical answer.

PowerPoint: There are links to the questions and the answer within the presentation. If you are using it in class you can ask a student to select a number and then use that question to determine which team goes first or wins. The information is correct to the best of my knowledge as I did research it through multiple sites.

Word: There are instructions on the sheet. However, I thought they could be used in pair or small group work. If you want you could turn them into scratch cards so they can find the answer once they have guessed.
