Addie the Alien - Cursive Handwriting - Interactive Ppt and Worksheets

The Addie the Alien is an Accelerated Learning Program that supports children absorb information quicker and retain it for longer. All the techniques have been carefully researched by neuroscientists, educational psychologists and educational experts from around the globe. Phase 3 Phonics Word Sort - ar

Phase 3 Phonics Word Sort - ar

For an easy to prepare and quick phonics activity that children can use independently or as group work, look no further! All your littlies need to do is to read each word (put sound buttons on if necessary) and decide whether it has the target phoneme in it. If it does, they place it in the column headed 'ar'. If it doesn't, they place it in the column headed 'not ar'. For added challenge, they can write out the words in each column instead. Aside from your standard sorting activity, this has been successfully used as a relay race/scavenger hunt. Hide the cards around the classroom, send the children off to look for them in relay fashion or in teams. Useful as a holding activity for more confident phase 3 learners, or great as a directed teaching tool for those just embarking on their phase 3 journey. Laminate to use again and again! As always, this resource is made using the OpenDyslexic font. Tried and tested in my classroom, and many schools, this really does make a difference for dyslexic learners. We are dyslexia friendly!
