These are organised as a series of skills that progress children through the TES phonics programme, which follows the order of Letters and Sounds. Printable assessment materials, including fake and real word cards, and assessment/tracking documents for individuals or whole class, can also be downloaded.
This is a summary of the interactives available (all can be launched from the downloads list of this resource):
Reading book: Book 1 - The Bad Cat
A lively story ideal for assessing the level of reading achieved through this module. In this first story, we meet the ninjas and their pet dog, Nip. A bad cat is upset with Nip, who accidentally digs up the cat's dinner.
Flash Cards - Daily flash cards for introducing new GPCs and the words that use them.
Phoneme Cards - Hide and show cards for blending activities.
Segmenter - Break words apart phonetically to demonstrate spelling.
Fake Word Real Word - Fake and real words to blend and sort. Great for assessment.
Interactive practice games: (these break words up into phonic blocks)
Phonic Picker Game - Choose the missing phoneme to complete the word.
Phonic Jumbler Game - The GPCs are mixed up ... drag them into order to make the word.
Also in this pack are tricky words and early grammar skills that will widen the range of sentences that children can read. Interactive flash cards are provided for these:
> Adding suffix -s to CVC verbs (single letter GPCs and CVC verbs ending ck,ll,ff), e.g. sit / sits, hop / hops, lick / licks
