LET'S WORK WITH EMOTIONS

LET'S WORK WITH EMOTIONS

This material consists of 3 sheets size A3 (tabloid) with three templates to make three roulette, one whose main character is a monster, another in which is a girl and another in which is a boy. Each one has an arrow to mark the emotion you want to highlight. Each sheet also includes a small card of each emotion with each character. The emotions expressed here are joy, sadness, anger, surprise, fear, fatigue, discomfort (sickness), being serious or quiet. You can use it creatively, although here are some ideas of what you can do with this material:- You can practice making faces of the different emotions presented here.- You can ask your students to indicate how they feel today.- You can play to make a face of some emotion and ask them to mark with the arrow the emotion that you are reproducing.- You can ask them to make faces and mark you with the arrow the emotion they are doing.- You can put all cards together and ask the kids to put together the ones that represent the same emotions.Anyway, these are just some ideas.

Sit Still, Look Pretty. SONG by Daya

Sit Still, Look Pretty. SONG by Daya

Marking Int. Women´s Day I put together a worksheet to accompany this sassy song by Daya - a song I became aware of thanks to my own daughter listening to it on our commute to school each day. The song pokes fun at Barbie Doll depictions and expectations of women, while forwarding a much more prickly, independent, feminist perspective that espouses that girls and women should be their own champions and heroines. Encourage your students to attempt to predict the words they will hear by referring to contextual clues, i.e. rhyming words etc. Easy to do worksheet has students focused on listening rather than writing. Aimed at 13- 18 year olds but adults could appreciate it too. Song available on YouTube. I hope you enjoy.
