Flashcards - OCR GCSE Spanish: Vocabulary List - Home Life

Flashcards - OCR GCSE Spanish: Vocabulary List - Home Life

I have put every word in the vocabulary list that OCR publishes onto flashcards. This pack is just on the topic of home life, but I have published all the other topics here on TES. If you are familiar with these words then the exam will be incredibly easy, since these are the only words that they will use in the exam. In this bundle, I have printed a pack with pictures, a pack in which you fold down the middle and a pack which you print double sided. The different packs are all exactly the same words, just choose the one which will help the words stick in your mind.

Mi Barrio GCSE 9-1 My Area Spanish Revision Tasks (Year 10/11)

Mi Barrio GCSE 9-1 My Area Spanish Revision Tasks (Year 10/11)

Sometimes I find it difficult to give students revision tasks that will not require large amounts of printing and marking on my behalf. To overcome this I have recently tried this concept with my Year 10 group to help revise for their upcoming school assessments.Students have a sheet full of revision tasks. The tasks are divided into 3 groups and each group equates to set amount of time they should spend on a given task. The tasks vary from self assessing to peer assessing to resources they can create and use themselves in future. I have attached both .pdf and .doc for your editing needs.Claddagh Classrooms

A worksheet to introduce types of home, location, the compass and saying where you live. There is enough here to scaffold a lesson around: vocabulary, grammar, translation both ways, more vocabulary and gap-fill reading which also introduces "me gustaría vivir..." Pupils will be able to model their own paragraph on this example.

Treasure Hunt - Places in Town and Directions

Treasure Hunt - Places in Town and Directions

A fun game that can be used to practise speaking about places in town and giving directions.Works best if there are prizes for finding the treasures! There are 5 maps with streets and town buildings (church, hospital ect) and three hidden treasure per slide. Students have to guess where the treasure is by naming the place of giving directions there, when you click on the place it reveals either an empty space or a treasure. The third slide turns the whole game into a race between different teams. In stronger classes they could practise prepositions and cases/genders (in der Kirche/ au stade ect)The last two slides are more detailed to practise more complex directions like ‘over the bridge’, ‘at the traffic light’ ect.

Google Street View treasure hunt to practise directions!

Google Street View treasure hunt to practise directions!

This is a fantastic way to get kids to practise directions and places in town in a foreign language. Find a town where Google street is operational and make a list of instructions for kids to navigate, as if they were actually navigating in that town. It's a little time consuming to make, but kids really enjoy it and it's the next best thing to actually visiting the place in person! The follow-up activity is to get kids to plan one of their own in a town of their choice, to get them to practise places in town, using directions, and using the imperative.I have used it with my Year 8 group, as well as my Year 12 ab initio group, but it can be adapted to any year group by changing the level of difficulty of the questions.

Giving Directions in La Zona Rosa

In this activity, students use a map of La Zona Rosa in Mexico City to give directions from the hotel they are staying in to many of the tourist attractions in the area. Both the map and activity are included in this download. There is also an additional activity to teach map skills and visual literacy.A possible extension activity would be to have students research one of the 8 tourist attractions mentioned in this activity.

Diseña tu ciudad y describe como es, que hay, donde están...

Diseña tu ciudad y describe como es, que hay, donde están...

This is a game to practice the vocabulary about the city (places, buildings and shops) and to describe where they are (using prepositions such as: between, next to, to the left, etc.) and also can be used to ask and give directions. Students design their own map and describe it to his/her classmate (who has to use the description to draw another map following his/her instructions). Students already need to know the vocabulary about the city, prepositions and the use of verbs (estar / hay) to express location and existence. They also need to know how to give directions if is going to be used for this purpose.
