Mi casa y mi ciudad - Local area - Unit of work

Mi casa y mi ciudad - Local area - Unit of work

All materials needed to teach this unit. Includes lots of resources made by a Spanish native speaker (biligual texts, narrow reading, the imperfect tense, sophisticated expressions, vocabulary tests, core vocab adapted for different levels, sentence builders, extensive reading, a range of speaking activities, a supporting PowerPoint with 50 slides...). This unit is suitable for groups ranging from year 7 to year 10, as it includes complex language for high ability students. The main grammar focus is on teaching the imperfect tense, although it also includes many other tenses (present, near future, preterite, conditional, present subjunctive, imperfect subjunctive). The approach behind this unit is based mainly on: comprehensible input, input enhancement, focus on form, skill theory and others. It has been extremely useful with my Year 7 - 10 groups. I hope you find it useful too!

Spanish KS3 GCSE mi casa describe your house estate agent/ property/ reading comprehension

Spanish KS3 GCSE mi casa describe your house estate agent/ property/ reading comprehension

This is a fun reading task to stretch pupils at KS3 or introduce houses/home at GCSE. The reading comprehension is four Spanish homes on sale, with their descriptions and a picture. Pupils have to read these and translate them before tackling the comprehension questions. There are three activities: a vocabulary task, a reading comprehension and a writing task which pupils should be able to do once they have completed the first three exercises. There are some writing structures to support pupils at KS3, but GCSE pupils should be able to use the conditional tense to say where they would like to live.

Flashcards - OCR GCSE Spanish: Vocabulary List - Home Life

Flashcards - OCR GCSE Spanish: Vocabulary List - Home Life

I have put every word in the vocabulary list that OCR publishes onto flashcards. This pack is just on the topic of home life, but I have published all the other topics here on TES. If you are familiar with these words then the exam will be incredibly easy, since these are the only words that they will use in the exam. In this bundle, I have printed a pack with pictures, a pack in which you fold down the middle and a pack which you print double sided. The different packs are all exactly the same words, just choose the one which will help the words stick in your mind.

Mi Barrio GCSE 9-1 My Area Spanish Revision Tasks (Year 10/11)

Mi Barrio GCSE 9-1 My Area Spanish Revision Tasks (Year 10/11)

Sometimes I find it difficult to give students revision tasks that will not require large amounts of printing and marking on my behalf. To overcome this I have recently tried this concept with my Year 10 group to help revise for their upcoming school assessments.Students have a sheet full of revision tasks. The tasks are divided into 3 groups and each group equates to set amount of time they should spend on a given task. The tasks vary from self assessing to peer assessing to resources they can create and use themselves in future. I have attached both .pdf and .doc for your editing needs.Claddagh Classrooms
