Daily Routine - Times, Days of the Week and Routines - Board Games

Daily Routine - Times, Days of the Week and Routines - Board Games

This resource is designed to practice telling the time in Spanish and talking about every day of the week´s routine activities. This resource includes: 1 board game to practice the time (sharp, quarter past, half past, quarter to) 1 board game to practice the time (every five minutes) 1 board game to practice asking and answering about daily routines (What time do you wake up?) 1 board game to practice asking and answering about daily routines with the days of the week, parts of the day and time (*What do you do on a Thursdays at three o´clock in the afternoon? * INSTRUCTIONS: Print each page one-sided on A3 paper/cardboard and laminate. To play the game you will need two dice and many counters. Set up centers with all four games and have students find a pair and play the games one by one. Set a limited number of times each student should throw the dice (for example 5), depending on how much time you have. Students earn one counter for each correct answer. When the students have played all the games, they count their counters to see who has the most . Students take turns to throw both dice. They read and answer the question that corresponds to the numbers on the dice (e.g.: where 1 and 6 meet on the grid).

CLEO THE CIRCUS CAT - picture story book

CLEO THE CIRCUS CAT - picture story book

Cleo the Circus Cat is a multi-talented performer. Join her for a week of fun as she walks the tight rope, swings on the trapeze and jumps through a ring of fire. She performs magic acts, throw custard pies with the clowns and becomes the Ringmaster. The bright, colourful pages accompany each sentence introducing the day’s activity. The story is a great resource for teaching the days of the week and introducing circus vocabulary. I original wrote this story for a German teacher who teaches primary aged German students English. She was looking for a picture book to introduce her students to some circus vocabulary.

EAL for Secondary Students - Workbook 1

EAL for Secondary Students - Workbook 1

EAL for Secondary Students (Workbook 1) directly addresses the unique academic needs facing students who arrive in the UK with little or no English. Beginning with first principles EAL for Secondary Students ensures that the student will develop an effective understanding of English. The tremendous advantage of this resource is that the student will immediately become fully included in the learning process. At the end of each unit, the student can record the progress they have made by completing the user friendly self-assessment sheet. EAL for Secondary Students is a student-centred resource which enables the student to be actively engaged in developing skills that are required in an academic environment. The teacher can witness and monitor the steady progress the EAL student is making towards becoming an independent learner. EAL for Secondary Students allows the teacher the flexibility to select appropriate topics. EAL for Secondary Students can, also, be used as an excellent Induction programme. When it is necessary and appropriate to withdraw students from mainstream classes, this is a systematic self-contained resource that enhances language development and activates confidence in the student. EAL for Secondary Students Workbook 1 contains over 80 pages of exercises.

Spring Poems

Spring Poems

A selection of poems rich in spring related vocabulary for a range of learner ability. Spring Party is very simple and is an easy to remember way to retain basic spring vocabulary. Most suitable for 4-5 year old learners. Spring Flowers looks at the array of flowers we see in spring and comments on their attributes. Suitable for a slightly older learner, maybe 6-7. Springtime Blues is more abstract than the other two poems. It is less about vocabulary learning and retention and more about imagery in spring. Suitable for 6-8 year olds.
