GERMAN DAYS MONTHS SEASONS DIFFERENTIATED WORD SEARCHES

TEN DIFFERENTIATED WORD SEARCHES WITH ANSWER KEY to help your students get to grips with reading and writing in GERMAN from the very beginning of their learning! WORTRÄTSEL are a fabulous way of encouraging students to engage with the written word in GERMAN, refreshing and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. This set focuses on the days of the week and months and seasons of the year. I’ve also included several related time nouns, such as the week, the month, the year. There are ten differentiated word searches, with each consecutive grid increasing in challenge. There are TEN word searches in total: 8 GERMAN to ENGLISH grids, where students are prompted with the GERMAN word, and and look for them in GERMAN in the grid. There are also 2 ENGLISH to GERMAN grids, where the prompt words are given in ENGLISH, and students have to find the GERMAN equivalent in the grid. Students are prompted for their name and the date, which is useful for monitoring their work. Having a good bilingual dictionary to hand is also a good idea, as this provides a further focus on developing literacy in both GERMAN and ENGLISH, and facilitates learner independence.
