Echo Express 1 Module 3 Vocabulary Matching Exercises

Echo Express 1 Module 3 Vocabulary Matching Exercises

These simple yet versatile matching exercises are made from the vocabulary used in module 3 of Echo Express 1. They can be used as starters, extensions, plenaries, homework and revision. They are also great for measuring progress when used as a starter and a plenary in the same lesson. They can also be colour-coded / traffic lighted to provide instant feedback as well as a focus for assessment revision. I always let pupils choose whether they want to write the answers in in English or the Target Language. Matching with lines never works! I have had great feedback from pupils when using them and hope you will too. Please let me know if you find typos / mistakes.

GERMAN VOCABULARY REFERENCE LIST - PARTS OF THE BODY

GERMAN VOCABULARY REFERENCE LIST - PARTS OF THE BODY

PERFECT FOR SUPPORTING LEARNING IN YOUR CLASSROOM! Create an instant reference resource for students focusing on essential GERMAN vocabulary. The lists work well when students keep them carefully in learning files or folders for current and future reference. They also work well printed double-sided and laminated for small-group work in class. This resource looks at language in the vocabulary group ‘PARTS OF THE BODY’. There are 25 words in the list, which is more than students will need at the beginning stages of their GERMAN learning, but does give a comprehensive overview of the vocabulary they are likely to need in the next few years. There are two alphabetical lists - one GERMAN-ENGLISH, and one ENGLISH-GERMAN, as I’ve found that students prefer to have both, particularly at the beginning of a particular topic or theme. I’ve also included plurals where appropriate, as I think giving students every opportunity to familiarise themselves with the concept of ‘plural’ in GERMAN, and how nouns may or may not change, is really useful in both the short and longer-term. These lists are a useful complementary resource to other reference lists in the series, but are a useful standalone resource too. VIEL SPAß BEIM LERNEN!

PERFECT FOR CREATING AN INSTANT INTRODUCTION TO GERMAN NUMBERS IN YOUR CLASSROOM - GREAT FOR READING, SPEAKING AND PRONUNCIATION PROMPTS TOO! Giving your learning environment GERMAN ’look’ also promotes GERMAN as a living language, featuring in the everyday life of the school. The posters work well with older students in their first GERMAN lessons too! I've also included a B&W version if you prefer not to print in colour. GERMAN CITIES - FIVE DIFFERENTIATED WORD SEARCHES WITH ANSWER KEY AND TEMPLATE

GERMAN CITIES - FIVE DIFFERENTIATED WORD SEARCHES WITH ANSWER KEY AND TEMPLATE

PERFECT FOR DEVELOPING LANGUAGE SKILLS AND DISCOVERING MAJOR CITIES IN GERMANY! WORTRÄTSEL are a fabulous way of encouraging students to engage with the written word in GERMAN, refreshing and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. This set features five differentiated word searches, with each consecutive grid increasing in challenge. Students can tell in which direction the words are written by looking at the arrow key on each grid. There is an answer key for each word search, so that students can check their own or each others’ answers - or use for a little extra help if they need it! There's a reference sheet of all cities included in the searches, which you can share between small groups of students, or give one to each student to stick into their learning workbooks as an all-year-round reference. Use as starters, refreshers, plenaries, pick-me-ups or fun-time fillers at any time during the school year, as well as when you’re discussing the geography of GERMANY. For a real focus on the cities of GERMANY, and to facilitate learner independence, photocopy all the grids as a workbook, and let students simply work their way through. The workbook format is great for home learning activities too. The differentiated word search templates are a great way of getting students to apply their knowledge of GERMAN a little more practically and creatively - they create word searches either individually or in teams to share across the classroom - completing these and the pre-prepared grids against a timer works well too! Encourage students to explore GERMANY a little further, and include what they consider to be major cities that are not already featured. The resource consists of 4 non-editable files. Please read the TERMS OF USE carefully - the resource is copyright, and for single-teacher/purchaser use only. VIELEN DANK UND SCHÖNE REISE!
