Viva GCSE - Module 7 - Que haces para ganar dinero - Lesson 1

This lesson allows students to use the topic phrases and vocabulary to practise Listening skills and then complete differentiated activities based on a Reading text to demonstrate students to work at/towards their Target Grades. I must point out here that the Grade Criteria/Descriptors I have used is specific to my school but this can easily be replaced (copy/paste) by the specific Grade Criteria/Descriptors you happen to use. Students can then attempt a spontaneous Photo Card Speaking activity which I have created for the work covered in this Unit whereby they can prepare for 5 minutes (ish) and then practise the questions and answers in pairs. I think it is important to practise the Speaking Exam skills at every opportunity! Students can then prepare full, written answers to my Speaking Exam question for this Unit by using the 'Grade 9 Ready' sheet and additional wow GCSE phrases.

Here is a set of revision notes on the topic of young people, including cutting-edge areas such as the NINIS in Latinoamerica, differences between young people in Spain and Latinoamerica, examples of activism, values and ways of entertainment... These should help for students to make their own revision cards, as a means to revise key concepts an ideas, to prepare speaking cards, as a springboard for the preparation of the IRP. This is a basic lesson which explores the key phrases from the Unit and revises the Near Future tense. Students will complete translations, a reading activity and write a paragraph using the Near Future tense and the phrases from the lesson
