This is a single worksheet and accompanying PowerPoint to support students revising Act 1 of the play, Macbeth. There is a ‘Revise the Plot’ activity in which students have to delete two of the three alternatives given to find the correct plot; 10 ‘Who? What? Why? When? Where? I wrote this 5 week scheme of work for my GCSE English group. They were struggling with narrative writing and so I wanted to inspire with them with some effective short story writing. This unit of work is for students studying the play for the first time in preparation for their GCSE English Literature exam with AQA. Here is a sample of the first 3 lessons.
