This lesson does NOT require the use of any accompanying textbooks. All of the resources needed are included. The lesson encourages the students to investigate the Henrician Reformation and is aimed at developing their categorisation and explanation skills. The lesson includes a range of activities including a link to a short video clip (not produced by myself) and a written judgement. There is an engaging starter and clear modelling. Here is a thorough resource to help prepare GCSE students for their mock/real GCSE Edexcel History exams on the topics of the American West, Anglo-Saxon and Norman England and Crime and Punishment through time. The PPT contains suggestions on how to structure each type of exam answer, useful tips, timings and a model answer. I am also an Assessment Associate for Pearson and am training in how to mark the 9-1 exams. No content from Pearson has been included in this PPT for obvious reasons. Here is a set of engaging lessons with a variety of activities for the start of the 9-1 Anglo-Saxon and Norman England topic. It includes 6 full lessons with the resources required to teach them (Pearson textbooks will also be needed). Each lesson contains success criteria to help guide the pupils on how to complete each task well and most include modelling (for example, tables with the first row completed). I have also included a bonus resource which is a planning template for the 16 mark ‘How far do you agree…?’ essay questions which you can also adapt for other topics like Crime/Medicine etc. With this bundle you are saving nearly a 1/3!
