The lesson looks at a key extract from the book, “Boy” by Roald Dahl and helps learners to analyse the extract in relation to question two. The lesson also includes helpful advice on how to develop their creative writing and to embed key language techniques. The lesson helps learners understand the importance of structure in creative writing and how to use this in their writing. The lesson uses a matching up activity and a model response to help learners understand how important structure is. Additionally, the lesson helps to consolidate their understanding of advanced punctuation.
