This resourcecontains a powerpoint presentation to be used in a group to introduce the topic with activities that link to the assessment.
It also contains assessment booklets for Entry Level 2 and 3. They cover the learning objectives and assessment criteria of the unit.
They contain a range of activities designed to specifically meet assessment criteria as well as blank witness statements and space for photographic evidence. Each sheet has a handy ‘assessment for learning emoji’ for learners to self assess as well as a final sheet for learners/assessors to make comments and to plan next steps.
The resource was originally used in a SEND school Post 16 setting but it could equally be used with entry level learners in a range of different contexts.
It is in WORD format to allow for ease of adapting to individual settings.
The booklet was designed to ensure the ASDAN unit was achieved however ASDAN were not involved in its creation.

A complete booklet covering all assessment criteria for the new NOCN Entry Level 1 Award in English Skills. It contains 75 pages of editable work and assessment sheets including witness statements and space for photographic evidence. In addition, it contains all assessment tracking sheets for IQA to sign off and Learning Outcome and Assessment Criteria sheets that are adapted to allow for page number referencing.

Rhyming Sensory Poem/Story on the theme of Spring
The activities in this unit of work are interactive and promote learners’ understanding of spring through sensory and communication activities.
The resources contain some real photographs so are appropriate for learners of older ages but can equally be used with younger children. Some are illustrations, but I believe could still be used with older age groups.
All the activities are easy to deliver and simple to resource. They will not require extensive looking for equipment/items as most are in cupboards and around homes.

A powerpoint containing activities for transition week in a SEND/Entry Level setting.
I used this powerpoint with a class of KS3 learners with SEND. It lasted approximately 3 days with lots of breaks in between.
It contains the following ideas:

A unit booklet designed to meet the learning outcomes and assessment criteria of the unit.
It contains suggested tasks as well as blank witness statement and photo annotation sheets.
At the end is a feedback form along with assessment for learning emojis on each page of the resources.
Although the unit covers the assessment criteria for the unit, Gateway Qualifications have not been involved in the design or production of the booklets.
