AS Biology - Immune System Revision Sheet

(10)
This worksheet can be printed as a revision card or as A3 and used as a class activity. Students have to add as much information they can about the immune system onto the diagram. It is for quick recall and could be extended further.

KS3 / GCSE (SEN/Foundation) - Chemistry Rock Cycle ppt & worksheets

(5)
The power point is a colourful, easy to follow explanation of the rock cycle. Suitable for KS3 and GCSE (SEN) students. These sheets were made specifically for my KS3 students but have worked really well with SEN and GCSE Foundation students. They are colourful, easy to read and easy to fill in. All can be used as starters, plenaries, home works or even as a class test.

AS Biology Worksheet - The circulatory system (4 sheets)

(2)
These quick revision sheets can be used as class activities, revision tools, home works, starters or as a plenary. The sheets include describing blood vessels, labelling the heart, explaining the cardiac cycle and the pressure/ volume graph. Hope it is helpful to give students a starting base for revision or test practice.

GCSE AQA Biology - Penicillin, Digitalis, Aspirin discoveries ppt and 3 w/sheets

(2)
This power point contains the key information about the discovery and uses of penicillin, digitalis and aspirin. The worksheets attached can be used alongside the power point and are good for low ability / SEN students. The power point cards can be printed out and given to more able students to make a sheet about these 3 medicines, or can just be used for revision, starters or plenary activities. Helpful with the new (as yet still a working progress) New Yr 9 spec for AQA. Hope you like them and find them useful, if so please leave feedback.

KS3 Chemistry / GCSE SEN/Foundation) - The Burning Triangle Worksheet & Test

(2)
This resource contains 2 popular sheets I use with my KS3 students to teach them about the "Burning triangle". The second sheet can be used as a homework, extension, revision or as a class test. I also used it with my SEN class and GCSE Foundation students who found they could access the material because it is colourful, easy to read, and some fill in the gaps gives differentiation.
GCSE Biology - Endangered species (SEN / Foundation)
JAM2015JAM2015

GCSE Biology - Endangered species (SEN / Foundation)

(0)
A map and information about endangered species. Students have to make a poster showing all the endangered animals on the map. I had to bring up a map of the world whilst doing this activity as many are unaware where most places are. My SEN group worked really well in groups, discussing, working as a team, and producing a nice resource which can be put up showing students work, and also they get to understand about endangered species. I then set them a homework to chose one animal and tell me why it is endangered. Keywords can be put on the board to help.

GCSE Biology handout. This is a hand out sheet explaining the 3 main scientists involved in helping to explain the photosynthesis equation we have today and the time line involved. It is part of a set of resources produced to aid my "Premier Listed" power point called Plant Structure and photosynthesis which covers all parts of the specification. Please check out my other resources. Thank you for taking the time to look at my resource and I hope you find it beneficial. Will cover at number of A2 lessons and will help with continuity of learning. It covers the following Reverse transcriptase, Restriction endonucleases, in vivo and in vitro techniques, In vivo - vectors, plasmids, transformation and identification using antibiotic resistance markers. In vitro - PCR, primers, DNA polymerase, locating genes using DNA probes, DNA sequencing , Gel Electrophoresis, Restriction Mapping. It then features DNA probes used in medicine, advantages and disadvantages of in vivo and in vitro techniques, uses of gene technology. Gene technology - genetic counselling, gene therapy and genetic fingerprinting. (Cystic Fibrosis) Finishes with advantages and disadvantages and ethical issues.
