This pack perfectly and succinctly summarises all of the elements and key sociologists for the Education unit for AQA AS/A2. It works well as a holiday revision or pre-assessment unit content revision or I initially made if for a student that had missed a great deal of the course. The notes can be used to set weekly tests and also use them to apply and think independently about how research methods are also threaded through the unit so there is an A3 summary Education and research methods sheet included!

These sheets can be applied to the sociologists that your students have studied linking to a school of thought. They are structured with key terms and prompts as a started to get students thinking about the key terms that they may include in an examination.

There are task sheets that are great to consolidate learning in the structure of an examination question including the key information, explanation, link to a sociologist and to evaluate the method. They are related to crime and deviance however can also be altered for education should this be necessary. The sheets are an excellent revision tool as all of the learning is in a similar format for each of the areas and this therefore helps students make comparisons. This is a comprehensive checklist for all the components of the basics and the units of Educations, Crime and the Family. Students track their current progress of their revision and identify any gaps in the run up to the examinations and help target revision sessions for staff.

Revision pack with examples for students to learn the main theories of sociologists covered in AQA A but also for other specifications including; Values and norms, Feminist, Functionalist, Marxism, postmodernists, structuralism and a learning checklist for theories and concepts. There is also a sorting exercise to accompany the booklet based on positivism and interpretism that can be used alongside.

These tasks sheets that have also been popular for the education module (see my shop) are an excellent tool to consolidate learning in lessons or as revision as the sheets are self contained and embed essay structure. There are sociologists as reference points largely for AQA and OCR courses in addition to opportunities to critique and evaluate. Sheets work best if printed on A3.
