This lesson is part of the First World War unit of study. It can be done as a one off lesson on conscription in World War One. Students have just had a lesson on the propaganda campaign launched by the British government to encourage men to volunteer for the First World War. Students will focus on the shift in policy towards conscription in this lesson and build on their knowledge of recruitment in the First World War.

Excellent resource which looks at the reasons why people voted for Hitler in 1932. The main activity which is collaboration based, looks to reveal to students Hitler's mass appeal and his dislike for minorities. This lesson can also be used as to show the transition of the democratic Wiemar Republic to Hitlers Nazi dictatorship.
Perfect for observation or interviews!

A fully resourced lesson on Nuclear War AQA RE Theme D. This lesson focuses on the destructive nature of Nuclear War, its effect’s and whether it should be used.
The lesson can be split into two 50 minute lessons or one full hour lesson, depending on which activities the teacher whould like to keep ( the first part on the Just War theory can be ignored if students have not completed that topic).

An excellent, well resourced and developed GCSE lesson which looks to introduce students to Christian beliefs on life after death. The main activity looks to reveal to students the difficultly in making a judgement on modern Christian's after life destination based on Biblical quotes on how to lead your life. SMSC has been considered with reflection opportunities within the lesson, with a focus on core British Values such as tolerance. This lesson can also be used in key stage 3 because of the fantastic resources provided but in consideration for Key stage four, there is GCSE question based on AQA spec A with an opportunity for peer-assessment.

This lesson looks to prepare students for a GCSE question on women and the protest movements of the 1960s in America.
The lesson looks to analyse the National organisation for Women (NOW) and The Women’s Liberation Movement. The Successes and limitations of the protest movements will be considered via a card sort activity.

The lesson is the first in The Second World War unit of study. This can be used as a one off lesson to introduce and explore the early life of Adolf Hitler. It is ideal for students who have some knowledge of the treaty of Versailles and can now begin to explore the role of Adolf Hitler and his rise to power during the interwar years 1921-1939.
