Feelings Classroom Poster Set

Feelings Classroom Poster Set

(0)
This set of 6 classroom posters were designed to compliment the How Do I Feel? Emotions Cards, that are also for sale in my store. These posters help children identify emotions that are positive, in-between and negative. Having the posters on display in the classroom, allows them to be used as both a teaching tool and a communication tool for children who are struggling with expressing or identifying their feelings. There are two posters for each feeling and they use colour, text, photos of faces and the ocean, to represent the different feelings. This series of products will assist all students in your class, but will be especially helpful for children with Autism and other special needs, who may require more explicit teaching of feelings and emotions to gain understanding. Thank you for shopping at LittlePeopleLove! I hope you enjoy your products and find them both lovely to look at and supportive of the special little people in your life! Kate xx

Reminder Card Set - Christmas Time

(0)
The Reminder Series: What Happens at Christmas Time cards, are a terrific travel pack of information about the different aspects of Christmas for your child. It was designed primarily for children on the Autism Spectrum and those with anxiety or short term memory challenges, and is a summarised version of the information found in the All About What Happens At Christmas Time book that is also for sale in the LittlePeopleLove store. The book is very detailed and is great for reading over and over at home, but I wanted to design something that provided the same type of information, but in a simpler format, so that as you’re on your way to a Christmas event, for example, your child can be in the back seat of the car reading/enjoying the pictures and remembering what’s going to happen and what the expectations are. These cards are the solution to that problem! These cards inform children about the changes in their lives at Christmas, etiquette and behaviour expectations, and helps to prepare them for things they might experience or come across at this time of the year. It will also help to alleviate anxiety, as your child can read through the cards if they’ve forgotten something and are concerned. You can customise these cards specifically for your child - you don’t have to include all of the pages in the file, simply choose the ones that best suit your child and their family, needs and development and then adjust it each year as your child grows and changes! This card set features:\ A page of how to use this book instructions for parents or teachers. Seventeen pages addressing different aspects of Christmas time and includes clear, colored images. Compliments the All About What Happens At Christmas Time book. These cards are encouraging, supportive and interesting to look at and can assist your child or student to navigate this very busy and overwhelming time of the year! All you need to do is print and cut out the pages (I recommend you laminate the front page), then assemble in the order that best suits your child and either have the book spiral bound at an office store or use a hole punch and hinged rings to fasten it together! The Now and Then poster supports children to get through one activity at a time and gives them something to work towards. It was designed for children with Autism and other special needs, who find a whole day without routine overwhelming. It can also be used as an incentive to get through a task they’re not so fond of first, and then be rewarded, even briefly, with something they enjoy - such as the computer, or time spent on their favourite topic etc. Included in this purchase you will receive:\ the Now and Then poster page a set of 12 picture/word cards of common school activities - blue represents the task that needs to be completed first, green represents those that would come next. a set of four blank cards (in both blue and green) to enable you to customise cards specifically for individual children. This poster also comes in a version for SCHOOL, and teachers and parents may find it helpful to use this strategy across home and school to maintain consistency for the child. Time Countdown Cards

Time Countdown Cards

(0)
These Time Countdown Cards are an excellent resource for your classroom/centre and an effective way of supporting children to transition from one activity to another. Suitable for toddlers, right through to junior primary (elementary) age groups, the cards start at five minutes from when you need the children to pack up and count down to Time’s Up using a picture, number and written cue. They are designed to be hung on a lanyard or ring, and worn by teachers/educators/aides, so they are easily accessible. These cards are particularly good for supporting children on the Autism Spectrum, who might have trouble coping when activities change or they’re very focused on a task, but they work extremely well in all classrooms, to help all children prepare for change and new instructions. These cards can be hung on a lanyard with another of my listings, the Transition Reminder Cards. Combining the two sets will allow you to support the children further, as you can hold up the minute card and the task card that’s coming next, to hopefully avoid the meltdowns that can occur with sudden change or surprise! Thank you for shopping at LittlePeopleLove! I hope you enjoy your products and find them both lovely to look at and supportive of the special little people in your life! Kate xx

Days of the Week Poster and Card Set

(0)
This set has been designed to be a bright, colorful addition to your classroom display resources! The poster is excellent both for teaching the days of the week and their order, as well as a reference point for spelling during free writing time. It would also look great enlarged to an A3 or poster size, to allow it to be easily read from anywhere in the classroom. The cards can be used as part of a display (I’ve included headings for Week Days and Weekend, if you want to break them into clear sections for your students), or could also be used as a game, where children need to put the days in the correct order. This gorgeous poster is designed for use anywhere that groups of children meet together! Your schools, pre schools, child care centres, playgroups, kids church groups etc would all benefit from having a visual reminder of what hands up looks like! The poster demonstrates how to put your hand up in two different settings - when children are on the floor and when they’re working at their desks. When placed in an easy to see position, it will be a great visual reminder of group expectations when you have something to say - especially helpful for children with Autism and those who are visual learners, as they can gently be referred back to the poster if they’ve forgotten the appropriate steps. Memory Assist Cards

Memory Assist Cards

(0)
The Memory Assist Cards help children to develop independence within the classroom, as they provide a visual and written prompt, to a verbal instruction. Children with Autism, short term memory challenges, or those who are easily distracted, can be given a verbal instruction, which is then matched on their set of Memory Assist Cards, that they then carry to remind them what they need to get. This set comes with the I need to get my… blank cards and a selection of matching picture cards to choose from. There is a set of blue cards for items a child may need to get at school, and a set of green cards for items that a child may need to get at home - in order to provide consistency between school and home. There are also blank picture cards included, so you can use pictures or words that are specific to individual children. Sitting On The Mat - Own Mats Classroom Poster

(0)
This listing is for a cute classroom poster that explains what sitting on the mat means for different parts of your body. Using a clear picture that is great for modelling expected behaviour, the poster uses a word and picture cue for each part of the body that is important during floor time. Children with Autism, other special needs or those who require extra support in understanding classroom expectations, will find this poster essential - as it provides a clear, concrete example of expectations and they are able to refer back to it regularly. This poster shows children sitting on their OWN MATS - for other versions, see my listings for Sitting On The Mat and Sitting On The Floor, which shows children sitting on a shared mat. (0)
This set has been designed to be displayed in your classroom! The poster shows the months of the year in order and would look great printed at an A3 or poster size. The cards have each month of the year pictured on it’s own card and could be used on a display board or as a game where children have to put the months in order. I have also included an extra page, that shows a graphic that represents each of the four seasons, that could be used as an accompaniment to the months of the year, in a display. I also have two other listings for the months of the year, where the seasons are linked to each month using colors and graphics, for both the Southern and Northern Hemispheres, so there should be something to suit your classroom! Months of the Year - Northern Hemisphere Classroom Poster

(0)
This listing is for a classroom poster that links the months of the year, with matching seasonal colors/graphics. These kinds of posters are terrific reference points for children throughout the year - as they learn the names and order of the months, have a visual reminder of the season that occurs in that month, as well as being a resource children can look to when wanting to spell the months correctly in their writing activities. This poster represents the Northern Hemisphere season/month pairing, but I also have a listing for the Southern Hemisphere, and a generic Months of the Year poster, so there should be a version to suit your classes requirements! Terrific for pre schoolers, right through to children in junior school classrooms, and especially helpful to those with Autism or other special needs. Displaying this poster in an easy to see position, will allow teachers/carers to refer back to it often throughout the day as children are developing their skills of give and take, cooperation and working with others.
