I have been teaching science for the last seven years in the south-west. I have had experience doing a roadshow for the Vancouver aquarium for schools across British Columbia to gain experience outside the classroom. I am to provide differentiated lesson plans and resources along with plenary ideas.

Fully differentiated presentations on the cells topic to include:
using microscopes
animal cells
plant cells
specialised cells
unicellular organisms
diffusion
organisation in multicellular organisms
organ systems
For the cells topic in year 7 I have created a eating, drinking and breathing tracking sheet for the whole topic which allows pupils to regularly check their progress after each lesson. I have created three home learning tasks with outcomes and rewards that support the eating, drinking and breathing topic. I have also created two feedback sheets that can be used for peer/teacher marking feedback of specific lessons.
For the above topic I have created three home learning task sheets that include outcomes and rewards. I have created two marking feedback sheets to either be peer assessed or teacher assessed for specific lessons. I have also created an overall tracking sheet to enable pupils to follow their own personal progress across the topic.
A plenary game I have created in which you identify the correct letter for parts of the eye and functions. Each label has a sound to indicate whether the individual is correct or wrong.
Here is a series of fully differentiated lesson plans on the shaping life topic in year 8. These include starters and plenaries. These lessons include the following:
changing behaviour
intensive farming
generic engineering
uses of genetic engineering
sociable animals
selective breeding
good communication

Here is a series of fully differentiated lesson plans on the microbes topic in year 8. These include starters and plenaries. These lessons include the following:
microbes
avoiding microbes
boosting immunity
cell differentiation
natural defences (WBC)
Changing your mind (drugs)
I have created frames for four types of plenary assessments I do at the end of each lesson. These frames can be easily changed to allow simple planning time. The frames I have made are for:
catchphrase
Have I got news for you
Question of Sport
PEEL conclusions
each frame is colour coded for level of question (blue = easy, orange = medium, purple = hard)
Catchphrase contains boxes that you can alter the questions within. Once pressed the box will disappear to reveal a part of the catchphrase behind. Pupils love guessing the catchphrases. Their is an abundant source of catchphrase pictures on google images.
Have I got news for you enables pupils to identify the missing keywords from the sentence surrounding the lesson. The tiles that hide the keywords will disappear with each click.
Question of sport contains 5 boxes that are colour coded to show level of difficulty. Pupils pick a number which will hyperlink to a slide with the question on. there is a box in this slide that allows you to hyperlink back to the original slide ready for the next number.
PEEL conclusion is a frame to help pupils develop their written conclusion answers. P = point - make a simple conclusion, EE = explain and evidence - use your table of results to prove this conclusion and L = link - link this conclusion to wider society.
Here are six revision broadsheets that covers all the topics in year 8 science. The topics link to those of the Collins KS3 science textbook. The broadsheets are as follows:
Human body and energy
