This resource is to provide notes or revision for straight line graphs and is suitable for the GCSE 9-1. There are seven revision foldables in this pack covering the following; Straight Line Graph 1; given a sketch pupils state the equation of each straight line graph. Straight Line Graph 2; given a graph pupils find the equation of each straight line graph Straight Line Graph 3; given the equation of the line pupils draw the graph Straight Line Graph 4; given the equation of the line pupils find the gradient and y-intercept rearranging where necessary. Straight Line Graph 5; given the gradient and a coordinate point, pupils find the equation of the line. Straight Line Graph 6; given two coordinates pupils find the equation of the line that passes through the two points. Straight Line Graph Mixed; pupils complete one of each of the above Foldables can be used as a revision or summary exercise at the end of a topic. As the answers are hidden pupils can use these to ‘test’ themselves or ask someone else such as a parent to test them. This has been updated April 2019, adding new content. This purchase now includes an A4 version (UK printers) and a US version which is letter size (US printers), please ensure you open and print (following the instructions included) from the file most appropriate for your printer. Translation (Mystery & Quick Fire Starter) Mysteries are a thinking skills activity, they promote collaboration and independence from the teacher. They are perfect to use at the end of a topic, requiring pupils to use the skills in a problem solving and often real life problem. This download includes a starter activity and main translation mystery activity. The starter is aimed at introducing translations through 10 quick fire questions on describing translations. Pupils can answer on mini whiteboards; use discussion to introduce and model that the movement left/right should be given first, followed by the move up/down. The main activity “Translation mystery” is differentiated to two levels in which pupils use the clues to plot and translate shapes; level 1 uses words e.g. “left right” where as the second level uses vectors. All our resources come complete with instructions, solutions and ideas for extension and support. We hope you enjoy using this resource with your students, we would love to hear how it went. Sequences & Series Revision Foldable

(1)
Sequences & Series Revision Foldable This resource includes two revision foldables for review of arithmetic and geometric sequences and series. An arithmetic sequence is defined as a sequence in which there is a common difference between terms. An geometric sequence is defined as a sequence in which there is a common ratio between consecutive terms i.e. every term is a constant multiple (common ratio) of the term preceding it. Foldables can be used as a revision or summary exercise at the end of a topic. As the answers are hidden pupils can use these to ‘test’ themselves or ask someone else such as a parent to test them. They also make a great addition to any class book, making it an interactive notebook. Please follow the printing instructions, selecting scale to fit. This resource includes an A4 size and a letter (US) size, please select the most appropriate for you. Thank you for looking, we hope the NumberLoving resources are useful to colleagues.
