A booklet with accompanying PowerPoint presentation designed for KS4 Citizenship lessons. The booklet can be completed in small sections in 3/4 tutor periods or in a ‘full’ lesson. All necessary video clips are embedded in the presentations (please remember to ‘enable content’). Relevant links are also pasted in the booklets. I have uploaded both resources in an editable format so that they can be amended/adapted in the future

Edexcel Crime and Punishment Cue Cards

(0)
This PowerPoint presentation is designed to be printed off and cut out to make cue cards (see picture). There are 3 categories of cards-blue for crimes, green for punishments and pink for maintaining law and order. I have used them to help students to identify relevant issues, events, and concepts for essay questions. For example, I sat the essay ‘How far was deterrent the main purpose of punishment 1500-1900?’ and asked students to identify and select relevant cards to aid them in answering the question. They work just as effectively for ‘Explain why…’ questions.
