Keeping fit: lesson slides about exercise and diet + exit ticket slide. Cigarettes and health: 3 starter slides + lesson slide. End of unit questions with 3 long activities + answers. Revision: 25 minutes of revision activities + slides to check the proper answers. It can be used as a revision or assessment. Coincides with Cambridge Checkpoint textbook/scheme of work but can be used alongside others. I currently use these slides to teach the unit of plants to my Year 9 groups. All files are editable to adapt them to your needs. The slides can be taught over 4-5 lessons The topic is divided in 7 parts that include slides with information about: Photosynthesis. Mineral salts: diagram. Uses of water. Flowers Pollination Fertilisation Fruits End of unit questions Revision: 20 minutes of revision activities + slides to check the proper answers. I use it as revision before the exam. Some slides contain notes for extra guidance. Included: unit targets to use as checklist and revision guide slides. I give these two files to my students for them to prepare the assessment. Roadmap to show the year overview in Science Y8 following CIE Checkpoint. I use it as a poster so that students can follow the scheme of work for the school year in a simplistic way. The traffic lights (end of unit tests) show the unit number with a colour code depending on the science. I have included a printable version and an editable version so that it can be tailored to fit other textbooks. It is a great opportunity for KS3 science students as the can build easily parallel and series circuits and then some more complex ones with more components.
