Helpful for Viva AQA GCSE. A sheet to print to help with the vocabulary for global problems (pollution/obesity/famine etc). The resource helps the Piensa Globalmente topic by providing a matching tick or cross grid of vocabulary in English and Spanish and an extension activity to choose whether we should or should not do something. Print two slides to get two copies per A4 sheet.

Le jour de la Saint-Valentin

A resource pack in French based around St Valentine’s Day for Years 7 to 11. Variety of worksheets (wordsearch/spot the difference) so you have something for each year group every year. There is a cover page for each year group so you could print separate booklets. I’m planning to revamp this resource another year but in the meantime let me know if you find anything which needs changing! I’ve found a typo: amoureuz should be amoureux - apologies! Amusez-vous bien.

Spanish En la tienda de ropa - repaso Good for cover; worksheet with a few activities about clothes shopping. Vocab’ match. Vocab’ copying. Translate a shop dialogue into Spanish. Pattern matching (e.g. de flores + picture). Extension ideas: learners could make up their own shop dialogues, look up more vocabulary. Create dialogues for each other to translate. Update Following a three star review, I’ve added an extra sheet for extension work where more guidance is needed than what I’ve suggested above.

Marking targets for MFL

**Time saving codes for marking ** French, Spanish, Italian… Stick the A4 sheet into learners’ exercise books at the front or back. As you are marking, any common corrections and so on that they should complete have codes. You just need to write the code on the work. Learners then write out the relevant target(s) on their marked work - and complete them, of course… The language is described as the “Target Language” so that the sheet is appropriate for many languages.

Semana Santa

Semana Santa: Five booklets for Years 7 to 11. Covering basic Easter vocabulary in the lower years up to “describe this photo” and “summarise the text” in the older years, this resource will mean you will always have something different for each year group at Easter time. Each Semana Santa booklet has a cover page. You can print a booklet per class or dip in and print individual pages. I recommend sticking to the year group, however, so that you don’t repeat resources in subsequent years.
French Easter Booklets

French Easter Booklets

(0)
Easter booklets for Years 7-11 Pâques This is a selection of booklets ranging from basic French Easter vocabulary matching, colouring and puzzles to higher level reading tasks further up the year groups. Each one has an accompanying answer booklet. Each booklet is usable as a stand-alone document for Easter activities. Alternatively, it could supplement your learning on Pâques. You can use each of the sheets independently as needed within your lessons or print as an A4 booklet ready for your learners to work through. The booklet begins with a cover page to colour in to help settle your group. In-built differentiation or challenge working through the Easter booklet means that all children should be able to access the learning independently, allowing you to help those who most need it. It would therefore also work well as a cover lesson. Year 7 Vocabulary: BASIC Joyeuses Pâques, C’est Pâques, un lapin, une cloche, un (grand) œuf, un panier, des chocolats, une croix, un agneau, des tulipes, un poussin, une église, des jonquilles, CHALLENGE un caneton, le soleil, l’herbe, les fleurs, les petits poussins, leurs vêtements, à votre choix, les coccinnelles, le champignon vénéneux, l’oiseau, le ciel, les feuilles. This booklet is intended for Year 7 learners and helps them develop basic knowledge of Easter vocabulary in French. For extension and challenge, you could: • Ask learners to write a paragraph about why they like or dislike Easter • Say what they receive at Easter, what they do and where they go • Prepare an Easter card for a friend, teacher or relative using their new vocabulary • Make an Easter board game • Write about why Easter is an important festival • Research the differences between Easter in their country and France and write a summary in English or the TL. Year 8 • English cultural reading compréhension • Vrai/faux • Word search Year 9 • French handwriting • Word puzzles/find the hidden messages Year 10* • Summarise French text in English • Board game • Recipe reading compréhension Year 11 • French quiz • Authentic resource reading comprehension If you find these resources helpful, I also have other Easter resources in French and Spanish you might like to look at: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/pascua-12103413 https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/semana-santa-12104731 https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/easter-and-year-7-basics-lesson-resources-11840423 https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/semana-santa-juego-y-actividades-11847281 https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/semana-santa-y-informaci-n-personal-juego-y-m-s-11847286 https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/french-easter-lesson-with-a-twist-11840429

Numbers/places in town/character adjectives: French basics revision. Harking back to the FCSE. This was a handy sheet for level 4 revision… Now it would serve well as a good cover sheet if groups have covered the vocab’ I’ve put in the title. Even if they haven’t it would be a good dictionary worksheet for cover. Year 8 and possibly lower ability year 9.
