Relates to Letters and Sounds: Phase 4 CCVC (consonant, consonant, vowel, consonant) words. The vowel will represent one sound and can be a vowel, digraph or trigraph, e.g. fright - f-r-igh-t. Aimed at: Years 1 and 2 and/or children still finding it challenging to segment and blend, ESL/EFL students and SEN students. Use in English language learning classes - use pictures as a visual prompt to segment and blend words. Plain strips - Children look at the picture, read the word and write it out.
