This resource contains a set of 26 lower case letters with 2D shapes.
Alphabet playdough mats for each letter with a picture beginning with the letter sound.
If you are teaching or have taught letters and 2D shapes, here are some extra resources for your pupils to colour in and/or cut out and stick into their workbooks or on a separate sheet of paper.
The letters are on whole pages in two sizes - A4 and 8.5 x 11".
Suggested Uses:
Children colour in the shapes and the background and then they can draw things beginning with that letter.
Children colour in the shapes only and then cut around the letter and stick into their workbook.
You could cut out the letter and stick into their workbooks or on a separate sheet of paper with handwriting guidelines for children to practise writing the letter and then colour in.
Extension: After colouring in the letter, children can list the shapes they see and the more able can put them into abc order.
Laminate the alphabet mats for children to use playdough to model the letters.
2D Shapes: square, circle, triangle, oval, rectangle, diamond, star, heart, crescent, pentagon and trapezium or trapezoid.

This resource relates to Canadian currency - nickels, dimes, quarters and dollars (loonies).
The worksheets are in colour and black and white.
WITH ANSWER SHEETS
Each of the four worksheets contain a variety of tasks for students to complete on the topic of buying school supplies/stationery.
Worksheet 1 - Students look at the pictures and price of each item and then work out how much two items of school supplies cost.
Two questions at the bottom: Which student spent the most? Which student spent the least amount of money?
Worksheet 2 - This worksheet is similar to the above except students are working out what 3 items of school supplies cost.
Worksheet 3 - Students answer 6 questions about the items, e.g. Which item is the most expensive? How much less do the crayons cost than the ruler?
The next task is to write the new price for each item which has risen by 10c.
Worksheet 4 - The first task is to write the new price of the items which have risen by 20c. Second task - to add up 3 items of school supplies at the new price.
Worksheet 5 - Sale Now On! - Students reduce the price of each item by 5 cents. They then recalculate the items of stationery bought (subtraction)
**Additional worksheets: **
Drawing coins to match the price tags - Students use the fewest number of coins as many times as they can.
Add coins and write the total on the price tag for each object shown.
Challenge: Students add up all the prices on the tags and write the total amount of money spent.

As students move around the class individually or as a pair, they find the matching shapes that are on their worksheet and write the name of the shapes. When they complete a worksheet, you can give out the next worksheet and repeat the activity.
As well as counting 2D apples shapes on trees, there is a crack the code vowel activity. In place of vowels are autumn pictures which students work out using the code table to write the name of the shapes.

2-D shape mat contains all the shapes the children will be using in their activities. The mat is also needed for the 2-D quiz. There are 8 questions to be answered.
<strong>2. Differentiated 2-D Shapes Search and Colour (x5).</strong>
Children colour the shapes using the colour key.
<strong>3. 2-D Shapes Search + Answer Sheet.</strong>
There are five questions on this worksheet. Children refer to the shapes below which shows a variety of 2-D shapes inside two circles. Questions asked, e.g., ‘How many [triangles] do you see?
