Flat Stanley - The Great Egyptian Grave Robbery [Order the Events Worksheet]

(0)
This worksheet involves putting the pictures from Flat Stanley - The Great Egyptian Grave Robbery in the correct order. It is meant to be used as an online activity using Google Slides or equivalent. Children can then easily move around the picture slides to put them in the correct order. Of course, it could be printed off and then children could manually move the pictures into order. On Google Slides, if you use Grid View, you can see most of the slides on one page which makes for ordering them easier than using the side bar.

Colourful A3 Timetable/Schedule Template

This is a colourful A3 timetable/schedule template for taking your potentially boring school version and making it into a more attractive display for the classroom wall or door or wherever. It’s a fully editable document so you can change the text and colours and add in extra rows or columns as you need. Weekly Planning Template

This is a weekly planning template which is setup in scheduled class order. I use it to plan the main objectives and basic activity outlines for each lesson during the week. It is also a document I show to the children so they know what is happening throughout the day and week. It could be printed but I mainly use it to display on the projector and enlarge when necessary. It’s a fully editable document so you can change the text and colours and add in extra rows or columns as you need. In this editable presentation there is a slide for each day of the week (Monday to Friday). On each slide, there is a space for the day and date, information about where the names of the days originate and a space for notices including a riddle of the day. It’s a colourful and fun way to present any school notices to the children at the beginning of each day.
Virus Killing Station Poster

Virus Killing Station Poster

Poster to be put next to a bottle of alcohol gel or near the bathroom sinks. Bring a new meaning to keeping hands clean! Maybe even encourage more children to wash their hands or use alcohol gel… I made it to go alongside a foot pedal gel dispenser I put together for when the children return to school.
Teacher-Parent Meetings Display

Teacher-Parent Meetings Display

(0)
Simple but effective display for teacher-parent meetings to show the main points that the child is doing well and the points they need to work on. Useful for both the teacher and the parents to refer to and a nice consolidation alongside a grade card or if there are no written reports.
Accept Challenged Classroom Door Sign

Accept Challenged Classroom Door Sign

(0)
A door sign which encourages children ready their mind-set to accept challenges upon entering the classroom. A fun sort of contractual obligation they should automatically accept upon entrance to the class! I often send children who have given up on a problem to go and read the sign and then come in afresh with renewed determination. It almost serves as a quick, ‘reset and try again’ activity. Top Secret Code Activity

Top Secret Code Activity

(0)
Add that extra bit of interest by providing messages, facts or instructions as a top secret code! Works great as a lesson starter or as a breakdown in any part of the lesson. See who is able to decode the message the quickest! Can groups work together to decode it faster than others by working on different parts? You could even encode a riddle or anagram to add an extra layer of difficulty. This little app makes creating secret messages easy by using picture based fonts. Quickly type a message in a readable font and change it to a picture type font such as Wingdings. Give children the chance to enjoy playing detective!

Maths Fact Families Worksheet

This worksheet provides a blank part-whole model for children to fill in with numbers of their choosing. They then have to complete the addition and subtraction fact family below based on the numbers they chose. There are two worksheets on one sheet of A4 for saving paper. You can also use the second one for them to repeat it with larger numbers or write your own in for them to complete. You can also add further complexity by only writing in the whole and one of the parts, so they have to calculate the other part first. The document is fully editable so you can change it suit your children’s needs.

Instructions for colouring and labeling various parts of both ancient and modern Egypt. A blank map can easily be found on Google Images to go with this. Battleships (4 and 6-figure) Grid-Reference Activity

(0)
Through the classic game of Battleships, this activity will help reinforce the concept of (coordinates), specifically 4 and 6 digit grid-references in a fun way. There are two pages to this download. The first contains a 4-digit grid-reference game and a separate 6-digit game. The second page is the same setup, except their are more ships available to place on the board. Instructions: The idea is that each student in a pair gets a copy of the worksheet. They then place the designated ships on their grid using the letters. They may also colour them as well. Tip: Make sure they place all their ships on the grid and that they don’t split them up into pieces. Once the ships have been positioned, the first player will give a grid-reference to ‘bomb’. If they get a direct hit on one of the other players ships, the other player must say so and also tell what type of ship they hit. The first player can then mark on their own sheet whether it was a hit or miss. The first player to destroy all the enemy ships is the winner. My children really loved this game and it really does help them remember how to read grid-references and get quick at doing so! If you enjoy this activity, please kindly leave a review. Thank you.

Speed Math 1v1 Competition

This fun 8-bit styled presentation allows 2 players compete to solve a calculation as quickly as possible. The whole thing is fully editable so you can change the problems to suit your children’s abilities. The idea is to set your own problems (of increasing difficulty), project the presentation onto the white board and then select two children of equal ability to come up and race to solve the problem on the board. Really fun activity for them to do and it allows you to easily identify any problems straight away and then work through it with the whole class. You can also encourage student talk by having the winner explain their working. All in all, a simple but effective way to review and reinforce content. If you like this resource, please kindly leave a review. Thank you.
