Board Game Template - Pixel World [Fully Editable]

(0)
This large (A3-sized) pixel/8-bit style board game is fully editable. There are a variety of different spaces already set which make for a really interesting game - I’d say much more exciting than your regular Snakes and Ladders style game. The second and third pages of this resource are the question cards which you can easily create to fit with any topic. When the player lands on the question mark space, they select a question card and if they answer correctly they may roll again. I’ve also included a variety of 8-bit style characters that you could print off to use as player pieces. All you really need to play is a printer and a die. You could even project it and play it that way! I personally print and laminate a number of copies so groups of 3-4 can play together. My children really love to play this. It’s a fun and naturally competitive way to review the content at the end of a unit. I hope your students also enjoy it! If they do, please kindly leave a review. Thank you!

There are also other examples of spaces you can use and edit and move such as roll again, miss a go, go back to the start etc. The second and third pages of this resource are the question cards which you can easily create to fit with any topic. Teacher-Parent Meetings Display

Teacher-Parent Meetings Display

(0)
Simple but effective display for teacher-parent meetings to show the main points that the child is doing well and the points they need to work on. Useful for both the teacher and the parents to refer to and a nice consolidation alongside a grade card or if there are no written reports.

End of Unit Quiz - Dynamic Dynasties

(0)
This quiz is designed to accompany Curriculum Maestro’s Dynamic Dynasties Unit. There are 15 questions plus a bonus. All of the content is based on the unit and it makes for a good team or individual quiz to help assess ad review at the end. Each question has a one minute timer (click to start) included on the slide. When I use it, I have the children split into groups and they work together to record their answers on their white board before revealing it at the end of the one minute timer. Points can be awarded and questions can be reviewed straight away, rather than all at the end. If you like this resource, please kindly leave a review. Thank you.

Speed Math 1v1 Competition

Speed Math 1v1 Competition

This fun 8-bit styled presentation allows 2 players compete to solve a calculation as quickly as possible. The whole thing is fully editable so you can change the problems to suit your children’s abilities. The idea is to set your own problems (of increasing difficulty), project the presentation onto the white board and then select two children of equal ability to come up and race to solve the problem on the board. Really fun activity for them to do and it allows you to easily identify any problems straight away and then work through it with the whole class. You can also encourage student talk by having the winner explain their working. All in all, a simple but effective way to review and reinforce content. If you like this resource, please kindly leave a review. Thank you.
Battleships (4 and 6-figure) Grid-Reference Activity

Battleships (4 and 6-figure) Grid-Reference Activity

(0)
Through the classic game of Battleships, this activity will help reinforce the concept of (coordinates), specifically 4 and 6 digit grid-references in a fun way. There are two pages to this download. The first contains a 4-digit grid-reference game and a separate 6-digit game. The second page is the same setup, except their are more ships available to place on the board. Instructions: The idea is that each student in a pair gets a copy of the worksheet. They then place the designated ships on their grid using the letters. They may also colour them as well. Tip: Make sure they place all their ships on the grid and that they don’t split them up into pieces. Once the ships have been positioned, the first player will give a grid-reference to ‘bomb’. If they get a direct hit on one of the other players ships, the other player must say so and also tell what type of ship they hit. The first player can then mark on their own sheet whether it was a hit or miss. The first player to destroy all the enemy ships is the winner. My children really loved this game and it really does help them remember how to read grid-references and get quick at doing so! If you enjoy this activity, please kindly leave a review. Thank you.

Daily Challenges Display Sheet [Fully Editable]

This presentation page is designed to be shown to the class in the morning. It is a single page which contains a variety of different challenges and other sections. Please see the preview to get the best idea of its content. It includes a welcome message, the day and date, a how are you feeling section, a quick maths problem, a where in the world section, the word of the day with definition, and many other challenges. The presentation already comes filled to the brim with a week’s worth of content aimed at UKS2, but every aspect can easily be edited to suit your children’s needs. At the start of each week I take some time to add the content and then it’s ready to go at the start of each day for the entire week. As there is so much content on just the one page, it’s best displayed on the projector. I find it perfect for mornings with the children before lessons begin. If you do decide to download, I hope your children enjoy it. I would very much appreciate a review as well if you could take the time to add one. Thank you.
Maths Lesson Starters

Maths Lesson Starters

(0)
A selection of 10 different colourful, engaging and fully editable starters for Maths lessons. Mental activities designed to get the children warmed-up and ready for their lesson. A two minute timer is also included on each as well as a (more) link on some slides to easily find new content. The activities included are the 24 Number Game, One in Thirty-six, Countdown, Columns XYZ Challenge, A-Z Speed Maths, Codebreaker, What’s the Question, Riddle me This, Sequence and Secret Pathway. Each starter already has an example in it which is aimed at UKS2 level. However, all the content can easily be changed to suit your children’s abilities. Each fortnight, I take a bit of time to set up the starters and then they are ready to go at the beginning of each lesson for two full weeks. The variety of activities keeps the children engaged and looking forward to the next and I hope your children enjoy it as much as mine do. Please see the previews for a better idea of the content and if you decide to download, please kindly leave a review. Thank you.

This worksheet serves as a colourful introduction to the different methods of food preservation. It is a diagram showing the first letters of different ways of food preservation along with picture prompts. Discuss and elicit the methods from individuals or groups in the class. The answers are provided on the second page. They are… Freezing, refrigerating, drying or dehydrating, vacuum-packing, salting or curing, pickling, canning or jarring and smoking. I usually introduce this topic when we are going to look at the process of mummification in Ancient Egypt. If you like this worksheet and have a moment, please kindly leave a review. Thank you.

A3 Board Game Template [Fully Editable]

A3 Board Game Template [Fully Editable]

(0)
The first part of this A3 board game document is based on Snakes and Ladders. The board is fully editable, with the ability to type in the spaces as well as move around the snakes and ladders. The second part of the document contains the same board, but this time with question mark spaces and fully editable question cards to use with it. This way, the board game can be used in a variety of different subjects. Children really love using the board games to review topics. I’ve used it in English, science and maths as well as other subjects. The ability to answer a question allows the student to roll the die again and the snakes and ladders add that extra element of fun and luck to the game. Children can use anything as counters in the game. We usually have a mishmash of coins, pencil sharpeners and erasers. As you can see from the preview, the board game itself is very colourful. However, I’ve also included black and white versions of each game if you need to cut costs a bit. I hope your children enjoy it as much as mine do. If you like it, please kindly leave a review. Thank you.
Flat Stanley - The Great Egyptian Grave Robbery [Order the Events Worksheet]

Flat Stanley - The Great Egyptian Grave Robbery [Order the Events Worksheet]

(0)
This worksheet involves putting the pictures from Flat Stanley - The Great Egyptian Grave Robbery in the correct order. It is meant to be used as an online activity using Google Slides or equivalent. Children can then easily move around the picture slides to put them in the correct order. Of course, it could be printed off and then children could manually move the pictures into order. On Google Slides, if you use Grid View, you can see most of the slides on one page which makes for ordering them easier than using the side bar.
