A simple step by step lesson that takes students through making a quick stir fry. Was used with a year 7 SEN class. Could probably be used with younger students or adapted to suit a wider range of key stage 3 students. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Recently developed for an observed lesson with a higher ability year 8 class. Could be adapted or developed for different age groups. Boscastle Observer Article template also provided as a word document. Includes success criteria which can help students identify exactly what they need to do to successfully complete the task. UPDATE: This resource was created a few years ago and some information may be out of date. Therefore some activities will need to be updated. This pack includes lots of different activities connected to the Rugby World Cup that could be used in classroom lessons across most subjects. It provides literacy and numeracy challenges, plus History, Geography and Art/Design activities. They could be used as stand alone starters or plenaries and some could be extended into full lessons. World Cup Selfies: Photo editing and fact finding project includes step by step for photo editing using Sketchbook (Mac), these steps could easily be followed using a similar photo editor such as Photoshop. It requires students to take a snapshot and cut out their face to later use in a country fact file slide. The other activities included are as follows: literacy and numeracy challenges, memory retention tasks using video clips about the rugby world cup, and a homework task from a famous american selfie. The files available for download are all different versions of the same slideshow, which is 36 slides long. An original lesson which focuses students on how to creatively respond to a design brief. Learning objectives: To learn about creative ideas and products. To think of creative ideas for solving a problem. Includes a fun lesson starter to encourage student to think outside the box. If you wanted to bring it to life all you need is a small cardboard box (tray from a matchbox would probably suffice), some drawing pins and a candle.

A simple to follow resource with question and answer, design specification or evaluation worksheets. Definitions for ACCESS FM are provided and help students develop their understanding in the relevance of Aesthetics, Cost, Customer, Environment, Size, Safety, Function and Materials, to the design process.
