The pack includes: - Instructions on how to use colourful semantics to support ordering of words in sentences (this can be used to increase confidence in speech or to support children's writing). - 10 pages with three pictures on each page. Children cut out and order the key words into the subejct, verb, object order. Children should then be encouraged to read the words aloud to reinforce the correct order of words in English sentences. This pack is for children who are starting to use 3 key words in their speech or are starting to write 3 key words in their writing. It focuses on 'who, what doing, and what' so that children start to understand the subject, verb, object sequence of English sentences. Includes: - 10 worksheets for children - 1 explanation sheet for adults

3 simple worksheets. Children direct the boy to the school bus around this simple maze. They then need to write down the directions they have taken. You can direct children to use positional words such as up, down, right and left. Or you can direct children to use cardinal directions, North, South, East and West. Decide whether you want children to record the number of squares they have moved. (Could be linked to a lesson using beebots. )

This pack includes a simple story called 'The boy who lost his bounce.' The boy goes around testing different items to see if they bounce and to see if he has found his bounce. The pack also includes: - A sequencing activity using three pictures from the story and asking children to sequence the pictures. - A second sequencing activity using pictures of the 6 things that Jack tries to bounce and asking children to sequence the six pictures. - Instructions on how to use colourful semantics to support ordering of words in sentences (this can be used to increase confidence in speech or to support children's writing). - Appropriate pictures and 3 sentence strips at a 3 word level for children to create their own sentences about pictures in the story. This resource contains 15 cards for children to discuss. The cards are 'what would you do if...' scenarios. The children should be thinking about the different community helpers who could help them in each situation and about what the appropriate response is. For example, if you graze your leg will have a different answer to if you find someone unconscious. These printables will help your children to reinforce their learning when it comes to directions. There are printables that help children to think of the directions up, down, left and right. Have your child find their way from the ship to the lighthouse around the maze and then write down the directions they took to get there. You can also use the cardinal directions of North, South, East and West. Then your child can follow the directions given by the arrows to navigate around a grid and land on different coloured squares. Your child will navigate around a nautical themed map to end up at different points then write their own directions using the four main compass point directions. Finally, help your child understand co-ordinates by having them follow the co-ordinates to draw a line to discover the shape in each grid.
