This three lesson series delves into the stark realities of war through the lens of three poignant poems: “Bayonet Charge,” “Charge of the Light Brigade,” and “Exposure.” Each lesson offers an in-depth analysis, highlighting the visceral imagery, emotional depth, and harsh truths of war, culminating in extended responses that encourage deep reflection on the brutal impact of conflict.

Second part of Wonder resource collection which has been set and used with my low ability year 9 class. The mini reading task is easily adaptable. The independent learning map was set to encourage students independent study for the rest of the text.

This resource was used to provide feedback to year 11 students after a mock exam on AQA Paper 1 Shakespeare and the 19th century novel. This resources can be easily adapted to meet the needs of your learners.
