Much Ado About Nothing: Simple Plot Overview

(23)
A powerpoint which introduces the basic plot of the play. Perfect for SEN, EAL, and visual learners. For the benefit of the kind person who rated this as too simple I would like to point out that this was used for a low-literacy group, hence the over simplification, there’s gratitude huh?

Sentence openers

(1)
This lesson focuses on the somewhat uninspiring topic of sentence openers - including a fun bingo activity and a diamond 9 ranking task - leading into a GCSE-style writing task inspired by an image. Created for year 11 but suitable for KS3 and 4 alike. I hope this helps your students as it has mine! Inspired in part by Edward Munch's painting.

Predictions for all 4 questions on the forthcoming TV Game show 2017 paper, based on pre-release. As a former examiner, I have accompanied this with model answers which use bullet points, spider diagrams and tables but still access the highest mark. The only task I have not answered is the practical task, though I have still predicted this.

This lesson looks at the success criteria for the spoken language component of the new English Language GCSE (AQA). Students then apply the speeches to clips from the Queen, Michelle Obama and James Corden. It then introduces the task students are to work towards in order to fulfill this aspect of the GCSE.
